MILLER JOHN G. "JACK" On May 25, 2015, of Bellevue, after a long illness, John G. "Jack" Miller died at home surrounded by his children. He was the husband of the late Betty (Menigat) Miller for 60 happy years; he is survived by his loving children, Larry (Patti) Miller, Rev. Robert J. Miller, Carol (Roy) Heil, Marty Miller, Paul (Jackie) Miller, Elizabeth (Brendan) McGuire, and Patrick (Tina) Miller; he adored being "Pap-Pap" to Sarah (DJ), Brad, Eric (Amanda), Garrett (Sawyer), Dan, Justin, Brian, Julie, Katie, Martin, Jack, Patrick, Mia, Nina, and Nicholas; and great-grandfather of Halle; also "Pap-Pap" to Ian, Danielle, and AJ; Jack is also survived by his brother, Thomas F. Miller (Ginny) of Kennedy Township; a dear friend, Patte Hollenberger; and many nieces and nephews. He was the devoted son of the late C.F. and Helen Purcell Miller. He was born Feb. 11, 1929, a son of the late Edward M. and Emma (Lander) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was the former owner of Tonidale Gulf gas station, a member of the Noblestown United Methodist Church, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. (Amy) Campbell of Imperial, Linda Rae (Jim) Campbell-Barletto of Virginia, and Tom (Maree) Campbell of Oakdale; grandfather of Janis Betler, William E. METZ DONALD G. Age 75, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Don was born February 11, 1940, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Wilbur Metz and the late Louella Sittig Metz. Don was 1958 graduate of Oliver High School and a Veteran of the United States Army, having served as an Airborne Ranger with the 101st Airborne Division for two years in Germany. He joined the Local Union 2235 in Pittsburgh as a pile driver in 1967. Don enjoyed his grandchildren and the outdoors. Don is survived by his wife, Joan Shields Metz, whom he married, July 7, 1962; two daughters, Joy Smith and her husband, Z. Kent, of West Sunbury and Danene Leasher and her husband, Robert, of Zelienople; and three grandchildren, Zena and Jordan Smith and Brett Zasadni; one brother, Edward (Joanne) Metz of Grove City also survives. Don was preceded in death by one brother, Allan C. Metz. The family will receive friends at the WILLIAM F.
