Ray is survived by his sister, Renee (Don) Bourg-Giarrusso; brother, Ed (Kathleen) Scott, Bernie and Lisa Windstein; and many loving nieces, nephews and devoted friends in Bridgeville and Colorado. Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Marie. Ray loved his life in Colorado. The proudest accomplishment of his life was being a Carbondale Fireman. Bob graduated from Wanynesburg College with a degree in accounting. He was a retired controller for General Alloy Castings and volunteered at the Highmark Caring Place for five years. Bob was a member of Centerpoint Community Church, Center Twp. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife of 53 years, Sharon Schlifer. Surviving are three children, Christina (Mike) Schlifer-Jones of Horn Lake, MS, R. Alan (Lori) Schlifer of Renfrew, PA, and David K. (Roxanne) Schlifer of Monaca; grandchildren, Charmine E. Wright, Carl R. Cheryl enjoyed taking care of the gardens and flowers at her church and her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley G. Ignatius Jr., in 2015. Bill enjoyed spending time at his camp, Trails End in Tionesta, PA. He loved hunting with his friends, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. He was a fisherman, an avid NRA member, and always offering to help his friends and family when it came to fixing things. Above all else, he loved his family and his hunting buddies. He was born in Bellevue, PA, as the 3rd of 11 children of William and Kathryn (Hattman). Robert served as Technical Sergeant in the 5th Army in WWII, serving in North Africa and Italy. LAGROTTERIA PAUL RAYMOND Age 83, of Penn Hills. Passed away August 17, 2018. Preceded in death by his mother, Concetta; and father, Louis; sisters, Jenny Manella and Lena Talotta; brothers-in-law, Anthony Talotta and Tony Greco; survived by brother, Joe (Sharon); sisters, Jay (Bob) Veri, Tina Greco, and brother-in-law, Tony Manella; sons, Greg (Beth), Paul (Jane) and Jeffrey (Shelly); and grandchildren Alexa, Jeffrey and Nina and many nieces and nephews as well as many close friends. Originally from East Liberty, where he developed may lifelong friends and enjoyed spending time at the Kingsley House where he taught weight lifting and body building. Later moved to Penn Hills where his interest in construction led him to develop various properties including two apartment buildings. Paul attended Westinghouse High School and continued his education, receiving a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He later went on to receive his Professional Engineering license. He started his career with Westinghouse Electric working for the Electro-Mechanical division. Then went to work for Pittsburgh Coke and Chemical Company which after numerous corporate name changes became Calgon Carbon, where he retired as a purchasing manager. He was one of the founding members of the Pittsburgh Chemical Association, and in 1975 was named General Chairman. In 2013 he was honored for his years of service. TUCKER JACQUELINE Retired school teacher and principal, died Saturday, August 18, 2018 of complications of dementia at Seasons at Southpoint in Durham, NC. She was 79. The daughter of the late Milton and Elaine Green, the former Jacqueline Green was born in Coraopolis, PA and raised in Coraopolis and Pittsburgh, PA. A graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School and The University of Pittsburgh, she was a teacher for The Pittsburgh Public Schools and then, in 1972, became the first teacher for Community Day School, a Jewish Day School in Pittsburgh, PA. Ms. Tucker later became principal and Head of School for Community Day School. She was a Life Member of Hadassah and Board Member of Zionist Organization of America. She volunteered for Family House, helping transplant patients both before and after their surgeries. After retiring, she moved to Longboat Key, FL and then Durham, NC. Ms. Tucker was an avid bridge player, and along with her husband, the late Robert Tucker, became a Bridge Life Master. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, entertaining, and reading. Ms. Tucker is survived by her children, Jon Tucker, James Tucker (Valerie Hausman), and Amy (Peter) Sloane; her sisters, Penelope (Paul) Levy and Joanne (Steve) Jacobs; and her grandchildren Joe Tucker, Harris Tucker, Gabriella Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Justin Tucker, Joshua Sloane (Sonia Silinsky Krupnikova), Jennifer Sloane, and Brandon Sloane.
