REVILAK HELEN ANN (RUSENKO) Helen, 91, died from anemia complications on January 25, 2014. A recent hospital stay firmly convinced her to forego the unrelenting distress and misery of more medical intervention. She, not the medical machine, controlled the ending of her days, at home in the care of her family. First child of Stephen Rusenko and Anna Zamborski; mother of sons, David and Stephen, she was married to Anthony for 57 years before his death. She is warmly remembered as being a truly good mother, ever dedicated to her family. Mom could make an abandoned, dying plant (or person) recover and blossom; her inspiration and faith would not be denied. She loved to read and inquire, and passed that devotion to her sons, a practice that opened many doors. Her level of organization was unusual, Mom had everything filed somewhere, and could readily find it. She taught us that men and women were equals, the joy of travel, near and far, to never spend more than you could repay, to work hard and do it right…Thanks, Mom. There is no viewing or service. Her ashes, mingled with Anthony's, will be placed as she wished. Arrangements by BALL FUNERAL CHAPEL, INC. Send condolences at post-gazette.com/gb
