ANDERSON CHARLES WILLARD ANDY Died on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the age of 83. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on February 6, 1930, at noon in McGee Hospital. Andy was the second of three sons born to George Robert Anderson and Blanche Brown Anderson. Graduating from Schenley High School in January 1947, he worked a number of jobs before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Upon receiving an honorable discharge in 1954, he returned to Pittsburgh. In 1957, Andy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Business Administration. On January 4, 1964, he married Lillian J. Wilkerson of Gary, WV. By June 1964, they moved to San Francisco, where they raised their family and retired. A member of Bethel AME Church in San Francisco since 1965, he thoroughly enjoyed the spirit of Christian fellowship, working in various areas of the church. However, he considered Bethel AME Church in Pittsburgh his home church. Preceded in death by both parents; and brothers, George Anderson, Jr. and Richard Anderson. Andy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lillian Jacqueline Anderson; two children, Patrice Anderson and Charles Anderson, Jr.; and a host of beloved nephews, nieces and cousins. Beth was born in Astoria, NY July 9, 1927 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Stafford. Beloved wife of the late John D. Gillis. Beth was the loving and devoted mother of Mark (Janet), Peggy (Jim) Slosnerick, Susen (Neal, deceased) Chadwick, Patricia Gillis (Jack Smith), Raymond (Carolyn) Gillis, and Carol Lynn Lee; and awesome grandmommy of 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; dear sister of Patricia (Fred) Fowler, and Barbara Fowler; and "adopted" mother of Alan Brown and Jerry Olsen. Beth will be remembered and missed by many. An avid Canasta player, Beth had a passion for letter writing and enjoyed a rewarding career at the Pittsburgh Hyatt Hotel.
