MOONEY MARY ELIZABETH CARTWRIGHT Age 96, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died in her home in Annapolis, Maryland on Friday, March 27, 2015. She was born on August 28, 1918, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania and was the beloved wife of James R. Mooney, who died in Pittsburgh on October 25, 1994. Mary is survived by her son, James E. Mooney; daughter, Mary Clare Mooney; and son-in-law, Charles R. Lotspeich; and daughter, Marilyn Mooney. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; and their children and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed the wonderful care and companionship of the Ginger Cove Assisted Living community in Annapolis for almost six years. The family would like to thank the amazing staff, caregivers and residents at Ginger Cove for allowing Mary to preserve her independence which she cherished and making her feel safe, secure and loved. They treated her with dignity, respect and compassion, and for that the family will be forever grateful. Ron spent his life in service to his community. Ron was also a 27-year member of the Allegheny County Hazmat Team 440 serving most recently as Deputy Chief. Ron began his career in emergency services in 1991 as a dispatcher, first in Forest Hills, then at Eastern Regional Communications and Allegheny County 911. In 2008 he moved to Allegheny County Emergency Management as an Emergency Management Specialist. On February 22, 1944, Helen married her high school sweetheart, Tom Beer, and they had 68 wonderful years together, before his death in 2012. Helen and Tom moved from Pittsburgh to North Port, FL, in 1991, where they enjoyed their retirement. They made many wonderful friends and Helen was very active in their retirement community. Helen and Tom moved to Wisconsin in 2009.
