FARLOW CATHERINE MARIE (MALLOY) Age 67, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away at home unexpectedly on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Beloved wife for 44 years of James D. Farlow; loving mother of Kimberly (James) Lute of Chillicothe, OH and Rebecca Farlow of New Sewickley; proud grandmother of Sarah and Rachel Lute; sister of Patricia Malloy of Valencia and Margaret Vickers of Pittsburgh. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Anna (Cully) and Raymond Malloy; and her in-laws, Elva and James N. Farlow; several aunts, uncles, and two brothers-in-law. Cathy graduated from Mt. Assisi Academy in Bellevue in 1968. After growing up in Pittsburgh North Side, Cathy met Jim, who was from the West End. They married and moved to New Sewickley where they have resided since. She retired from Fairfield Inn, Cranberry Twp. Cathy enjoyed crocheting the most, but also cross-stitch, reading, and coloring pages. She generously donated hats and lap robes for AARP to shelters and nursing homes. She loved playing games and puzzles with her granddaughters and crocheting clothes for their American Girl Dolls. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp. (724) 772-8800. Funeral services will take place on Saturday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
