SCHMITT THORA M. (FARABAUGH) Of Upper St. Clair, age 91, died peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold H. Schmitt and loving mother of Robert (Deanna) Schmitt. Thora was the eldest of ten children and truly cared for her siblings, Norma (late Al) Fahrner, the late Jane (Raymond) Donley, the late Jack (late Jeanne) Farabaugh, the late Nell (late Eugene) Kress, Janet (late John) Hyrb, the late Thomas Farabaugh, Carolyn (late Jerry) Olivieri, Timothy (Judy) Farabaugh and Susan (Jeff) Moedinger. Thora is also survived by sister-in-law, Annabelle (Paul) Cullen. Thora was family to many nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family. Born in Bakerton, PA to Adolph and Magdalene Farabaugh, she spent her youth in Carrolltown, PA eventually moving with her family to Pittsburgh, PA. Thora was first employed by the Pittsburgh Press where she met her husband of 59 years, Hal. She retired from US Airways in 1991. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 724-941-3211.
