BEACHLEY Dr. MICHAEL CHARLES Age 77, passed away peacefully on his farm in Bakerstown, PA on January 13, 2018. Born November 14, 1940, and raised in Harrisburg, son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Jones) Beachley. A U.S. Army veteran, Michael was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard University Medical School. A gifted physician, he served as Chairman of Radiology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, and then at St. Margaret Hospital in Aspinwall, PA. At the end of his career, he served as a radiologist at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He loved farming, bird hunting, fishing, furniture-making, history, and reading. Michael was a beloved husband and father. At the time of his passing, he was in the company of his wife of 14 years, Barbara (Giba) Uher Beachley; his children, Kenneth, Barbara, and William Beachley; and his dog, Abbey. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Beachley; his grandchildren, Jacob and Daniel Beachley; his sisters, Elizabeth (Walt Schlegel) McWilliams and Ellen (Mark) Jenkins; and his first wife and the mother of his children, Deborah Samson. Michael was also stepfather of Kevin (Doris) Uher, Brian Uher, and Jennifer (Michael) Appaneal; step-grandfather of Katrina, Marin, Rebecca, Brittney, Jake, Sean, Ryan, and Liam; and step- great-grandfather of Chloe and Landon. Family will welcome friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA. Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev.
