CARTER AUDREY M. Age 90, of Concordia at Cabot, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away on January 15, 2017. She was born on March 25, 1926, in Eastington, England, daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy (Webb) Stevens. Beloved wife of the late Warren C. Carter; loving mother of Marion/ Marnie (James) Beatty and the late Pamela Carter Myers; sister of Bette (Brian) Woosey. Audrey, known as Granny, is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Audrey was active on the Butler County Agency on Aging Board, and was instrumental in bringing Rolling Road Regency Apartments to Cranberry Township. Audrey served in the British military during WWII, where she met her future husband, Warren, a US GI. She worked for Max Azen's in Pittsburgh and Maxine's in the North Hills. After retiring, most days were spent reading, doing crosswords, watching British TV, and playing cards with friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Rd., #300 Cranberry Township, PA 16066 or the Bedford County Library, 240 Wood Street, Bedford, PA 15522. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 10 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8 at 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, Rev. Paul Becker, officiating.
