TRANQUILL SHIRLEY M. (ENGELHARDT) Age 85 of Indiana Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 due to complications following surgery. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Cecil J.; daughter, Kathy; and her son, Ronald (Vanessa); and her two cherished grand daughters, Leandra and Karrah. Shirley graduated from Shaler High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in business education. She taught for 28 years in the Oakmont and Riverview school districts. She was very proud of sponsoring with her husband, the Oakmont Community Center (ACORNS) Saturday night dances and events for eight years and she would always say without an incident. She belonged to the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church for 57 years. At Shirley's request, there will be no viewing. A service and interment will be private.
