ARMENTI NORMAN A. LEFTY Age 85, of Baldwin Twp., passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Beloved husband of 51 years of Judith (Koerner) Armenti; loving father of Damian (Sarah) Armenti, Dean Armenti and Joelle (Jim) Daugherty; cherished Pap Pap of Annamarie and Dante Armenti; beloved son of the late Frank and Fannie (Fusaro) Celli; brother of the late James, Donald and Angelina Armenti; also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Lefty taught social studies and English in the Pittsburgh Public Schools for over 30 years where his devotion to teaching touched the lives of countless students. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, he was a graduate of Duquesne University where he pledged Alpha Phi Delta and remained an active member for 61 years. He established lifelong friends with his fraternity brothers and was awarded their most prestigious honor, the Adam DiVincenzo Award for outstanding community service. Lefty was an avid golfer and an exceptional bowler.
