GALARDI JOSEPH J., Jr. Age 95, a 64-year resident of Whitehall, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born September 14, 1920, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Schell) Galardi, Sr. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II, and was the owner and operator of Galardi's 30 Minute Cleaners. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth R. (Demont) Galardi; a brother, Vincent; and twin sisters, Florence Polito and Loretta Tamburi. Joseph is survived by a daughter, Rosemary; and a grandson, Joey. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Joseph's life will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to the St. Elizabeth of Hungary building fund.
